微软透露,其嵌入式版 Windows 7,也就是 Embedded Standard 2011 系列产品的开发已经接近尾声,这一计划被命名为“Quebec”。

2月15日,微软发布了一个 Windows Embedded Standard 2011 的RC版本,并将其更名为 Windows Embedded Standard 7,RC版目前已经可以从微软Connect站点获取到。
